Recognising construction marketing excellence

A record number of companies submitted entries and the judges told us that there was a very high quality of entries. This is good news, as at a time when the industry is under increasing pressure we need high quality marketing and marketers to ensure our survival. Clearly this is the case in some areas of the industry.

Interestingly, the company that won the most awards had brought in a Marketing Director from outside the industry. While it is healthy to welcome fresh blood, bringing professionalism and expertise, it does ask questions about the rest of us. Are we sufficiently informed about best marketing practice, and if so are we putting it into practice?

If you don’t want to lose your job during these difficult times, either because your company has gone bust due to poor marketing or because you have been replaced by someone better, make sure you are up to speed with the latest marketing practice and ideas.

That’s what CIMCIG is all about - sharing knowledge, skills, information and best practice. The web site www.cimcig.org includes a knowledge hub as well as a list of CIMCIG events which provide not just an opportunity to improve your knowledge but to network with likeminded people.
