Developing Export Markets
Working with you to successfully expand your business overseas.
A side effect of the UK recession has been the fall in value of Sterling, which makes British construction exports more competitive than they have been for many years.
Our team at Competitive Advantage have research partners in a number of countries and have experience of international business development.
Our involvement can be as much or as little as you wish. We aim to provide high quality consultancy at an economic cost.

The opportunities:
- India and China although facing a fall in their consumer markets still have strong development programmes.
- Many of the Middle Eastern countries have strong oil revenues and although activity is slowing it is still strong by UK standards.
- There are countries throughout the world with pro-British construction markets, legislation and standards based on British principals - Hong Kong and Singapore for example.
How the process works:
You need to select your target markets carefully, ensure your offering is attractive to overseas customers, select the right partners, give them the support they need, and be patient. Most important of all, ensure that a suitable method of payment is in place.
Competitive Advantage’s experience of international business development means we can guide you through the process. Working with you we develop a strategy and implementation plan.
We are happy to meet with you to review your requirements and for you to decide if you are happy to work with us. You are under no obligation to commit, the meeting is an opportunity for us to learn about your business and propose an approach with an indication of costs.
Once you are happy with the proposal we will commence work, keeping within the agreed budget and action plan, with regular reviews taking place.
