At the end of May, the Housing and Planning Act 2016 was published. Increasingly the view from the industry is that the only way that the UK’s housing needs will be met is through widespread adoption of Modern Methods of Construction. Both Laing O’Rourke and L&G have announced investment plans and now the NHBC Foundation have published a report Modern Methods of construction: views from the industry. The study shows that many house builders and housing associations have a positive view of the future role of MMC.
