Chris Ashworth Chris has over twenty five years sales and marketing experience in the building products sector working with blue chip companies. He has held front line marketing positions launching new products and developing markets as well as heading sales teams selling to specifiers, distributors and contractors. In addition to working in the UK, his international experience has included the Middle East, many European countries and a period resident in Asia. Chris founded Competitive Advantage in 1999 and is a Member of the Institute of Management Consultancy, an Associate Member of the Market Research Society, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer. Rachel Ward A language graduate, Rachel is fluent in French. Upon graduation she joined Saint-Gobain Glass UK where she worked for 11 years, holding various sales and marketing positions including Technical Sales Executive, Product Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager, Ireland. She was a finalist in the Construction Industry's Young Achiever of the Year Awards.
Rachel has worked as an Associate with Competitive Advantage since 2005 taking on research, business development and strategy projects.

Carol Kelly Carol has over 20 years sales experience, mostly gained working in the building products sector. Starting her career as a sales representative, she held a number of senior sales roles including Business Development Director with Knauf Insulation and is experienced in selling direct to end users, through specification or via third parties such as distributors and merchants. Since 2005 Carol has been working as an independent trainer providing mentoring and sales training for the building industry. A qualified occupational personality assessor for training and development, her involvement with clients can extend beyond training to advising on the selection and appointment of sales people. In addition to working as an Associate with Competitive Advantage, Carol runs her own training company KSA Sales Solutions.

Nichola Martland Having completed her education in 2000, gaining qualifications in Business Studies and Marketing, Nichola worked for Pirelli Cables as a Marketing Co-ordinator and an Internal Sales Co-ordinator before joining Competitive Advantage in 2002. Her first project was an interim marketing role with a brick manufacturer. Since than Nichola has specialised in research - conducting numerous customer satisfaction and profiling projects; interviewing clients, architects, engineers, contractors, house builders, home-lifestyle retailers, builders merchants and specialist wholesalers. Nichola holds the Professional Diploma in Marketing and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Marketing.

Tony Rackham Tony has over twenty five years experience operating in a Sales & Marketing environment. He runs sales consultancy Topline. His early career was predominantly in the 'FMCG' arena and since then he has operated in both 'B2B' and 'B2C' where he has obtained first hand experience in most aspects of developing both large and small companies. Operating at Board Level as Sales & Marketing Director his experience extends across business takeovers, mergers and re-organisations.

Paul Sloane Paul took a first in Engineering at Cambridge. His stellar career started in IBM where he came top of Sales School. He was part of the team that launched the IBM PC in the UK. He went on to be Managing Director of the database leaders, Ashton-Tate. He became VP International for MathSoft Inc. and CEO of Monactive Ltd. As founder of Destination Innovation Paul now works with companys to develop their innovation skills. Author of 10 books. In his latest, The Leader's guide to Lateral Thinking Skills, published by Kogan Page in early 2003, he explains how you can use the principles of lateral leadership to inspire your people to achieve breakthrough solutions and radical innovations.
